The Latvian motocross team has been named, which will represent our country on October 3-5 at the Ironman Raceway track in Indiana, USA, in the MXoN competition for solo motorcycles. The team includes brothers Jānis Mārtiņš and Kārlis Alberts Reišulis, as well as Pauls Jonass.

The Motocross of Nations is the most anticipated event of the season for both athletes and fans. It is the only competition of the year where athletes represent their country in a team competition, the only competition of the year where the best riders from different continents and different championships meet.

This year, the team's goal in the MXoN, popularly known as the Olympic Games of motocross, is to fight for the best result in history.

As confirmed by Raivis Zīrups, head of the LaMSF Motocross Commission, this year's European Championship leader in the 250cc class, Jānis Mārtiņš Reišulis, will compete in the MX2 class at the Nations, his brother Kārlis Alberts Reišulis will represent the MXGP class, and the titled Pauls Jonass will take his place on the starting line in the MXOpen class. Mairis Pumpurs has been included in the team as a reserve.

"This year's lineup is the most capable and strongest we have ever had. The Reišulis brothers have already proven themselves on the world stage, and Pauls needs no further introduction. I think and hope that this is just the beginning of something bigger, and that the Latvian national motocross team will be able to achieve and surpass their previous results," said Dāvis Ivanovs, the team's manager.

The Motocross of Nations solo motorcycle race will take place on October 3-5 at the US-based Ironman Raceway track, which was built in 2012 but officially opened in 2014 as part of a larger motocross infrastructure.

Given the total cost of the project, which amounts to EUR 60,000, we invite potential sponsors to apply to help realize this ambitious project. Your support will help us send the most talented and competitive team to represent Latvia at the international level, cover all the necessary logistics and air travel costs, and transport the athletes and technical equipment for the competition.

The Latvian national team faces a serious challenge, but we are confident that with our joint efforts, our athletes will demonstrate their fighting spirit, professionalism, and ability to overcome the most difficult conditions on the track.

Over 800 riders registered for the 2025 YZ BLU CRU FIM Europe Cup this year, and of these, 112 riders took to the track alongside their racing heroes at the 2025 MXGP of Sweden in Uddevalla last weekend.

The 17 finalists were chosen as a result of their performance in their respective races in Sweden, with the first three from each category earning a place automatically with two additional spots available for wildcard riders judged to have impressed by the BLU CRU Racing Committee.

For 2025, the winners of each class will not only receive an invitation to the BLU CRU Masterclass, but will also be offered the chance to race in the first-ever YZ BLU CRU World SuperFinale, taking place alongside the prestigious Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations at Ironman Raceway, Indiana, between 3-5 October. This brand-new event hosted by Yamaha Motor USA will follow the same successful format as the YZ BLU CRU European Cup SuperFinale and offers the three young riders invited to compete against rivals from across the globe.

The 2025 YZ BLU CRU European Cup SupeFinale saw close and competitive racing across the three classes, making the choice of the BLU CRU Racing Committee especially difficult on the wildcard places for the Masterclass.

In the YZ65 class, race winner Tymon Andrzejewski from Poland will head to the Masterclass alongside second placed Jann Huisman, whose podium finish earned him a place at his second Masterclass event, with Spain’s Biel Vilalta also automatically earning his spot from his third-place podium finish. The wildcard riders for the YZ65 class are Tommy Wood (Great Britain), who fought valiantly for the podium in the SuperFinale before a late crash ruled him out, and the Netherland’s Marcio van Laars, who impressed the BLU CRU Racing Committee with his speed in Qualifying before unfortunately being ruled out of the race in the early stages.

New Zealand’s Nixon Coppins, who is part of the YZ BLU CRU program in the United Kingdom, was the only dominant victor of the 2025 SuperFinale, storming to the win by over 17 seconds in the YZ85 race. He automatically earns a place at the Masterclass for the second time after being chosen as a wildcard rider in 2024. He’ll be joined by second-placed Thijs van den Bogaard and former YZ65 SuperFinale winner Willads Gordon (Denmark), who took third in the YZ85 class this time around. Ivan Vidal of Spain, who just missed out on a podium finish in the closing stages of the YZ85 race has been given a wildcard entry alongside Leo Gasjer of Slovenia, who finished seventh in this year’s race. Elin Rotsthen of Sweden joins the YZ85 riders as the highest placed female rider in the YZ85 SuperFinale.

An action-packed YZ125 SuperFinale saw fireworks in Sweden with at least three different leaders throughout the race, but it was the UK’s Drew Stock who came out victorious ahead of fellow countrymen Hayden Statt. Denmark’s Bertram Thorius, who led the race twice before finishing third joins the two Brits in automatic qualification for the Masterclass. The trio are joined by wildcard entrants Storm Maymann of Denmark and Alejandro Torres of Spain, with Tiril Ottesen, the fastest female YZ125 rider, also earning a space at the Masterclass later this year.

The Masterclass offers these young riders, aged between eight and 16 years, a unique opportunity to showcase their skills while training under the guidance of esteemed coaches and BLU CRU ambassadors, including former Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP rider Gautier Paulin, 2022 Women’s Motocross World Champion Nancy van de Ven and BLU CRU rider coach Brian Jørgensen. At the end of the two-day event, one rider from each class will be declared the winner.

The YZ125 winner will secure a place on a Yamaha-supported team, competing on a GYTR-kitted YZ125 in the 2026 EMX125 Championship. Additionally, the winners of the YZ65 and YZ85 categories will receive valuable support from Yamaha Motor Europe for their 2026 campaigns.

Ken Roczen to compete in the MXGP class alongside a strong German line-up with Simon Längenfelder and Maximilian Spies

Long awaited and now officially confirmed: Ken Roczen will be the third rider of Team Germany for the 2025 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, taking place on October 4–5 at the legendary “Ironman Raceway” in Crawfordsville, IN (USA). With Ken Roczen (MXGP), Simon Längenfelder (MX2) and Maximilian Spies (Open), Team Germany is now complete.

Team Management Statement

For team managers Marcel Dornhöfer and Karsten Schneider, Roczen was the number one choice for the MXGP class. “We were in contact with Ken and his team constantly. He showed his interest to race for us early on, but just like him, we had to wait and see how his injury recovery progressed. Now we are even happier – the wait was worth it. With Ken, Simon and Maximilian we once again have a strong line-up that combines experience and fresh ambition,” said the team management.

The prestigious Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations 2025, often referred to as the Olympics of motocross, will take place from October 2 to 5, 2025, in the USA on the legendary Ironman Raceway.

This evening, the Swiss Moto MXoN Sports Commission, led by Team Manager Mat Rebeaud, unveiled a powerful three-man line-up of world-class caliber during a studio live show broadcast from Lommel (Belgium) – the mecca of MX sports and home base of two of the three riders.

The Swiss team for 2025 will be spearheaded by the experienced duo of Jeremy Seewer (#25, MXGP) and Valentin Guillod (#27, Open). Guillod, currently based in the United States, joined the live show virtually. Making his debut alongside them is the young and ambitious Nico Greutmann, who earlier this year gained his first taste of MXGP competition at the Flanders Grand Prix (Lommel) in the MX2 category, narrowly missing out on a top-ten finish.

With this combination of experience and youthful energy, Switzerland heads to the USA with high ambitions: while Seewer and Guillod, as established world-class riders, have little left to prove, Greutmann is eager to seize the opportunity and demonstrate that he is ready to break into the international elite.

The Swiss MXoN team also faces major logistical challenges, preparations for which began less than a month after last year’s Motocross of Nations in England. Thanks to long-standing and new sponsorship partnerships, the team’s journey is secured.

Team Switzerland is ready to take on the world’s best nations.

After a 2024 edition full of twists and turns, the French team is more determined than ever to regain the title. The most prestigious event in world motocross returns to American soil this year, to Ironman Raceway, Crawfordsville, IN, on 3, 4 and 5 October 2025, for what promises to be a spectacular event.

Fifth in last year's 77th edition held in England, the French delegation has a clear goal: to bring France back to the top of the world before the Motocross of Nations returns to our shores in 2026.

The last American expedition dates back to 2022, which ended with a superb second place in the overall standings. This is enough to fuel great ambitions for this return across the Atlantic.

With just a few weeks to go before this event on American soil, it is time for the French Motorcycling Federation to unveil the team that will defend the colours.

The Netherlands will be represented by a formidable team at the Motocross of Nations (MXoN): Glenn Coldenhoff, Kay de Wolf and Calvin Vlaanderen will defend the orange honour in the United States in early October.

The MXoN is the annual world championship for national teams. The three riders will each compete in their own class for the joint title. During this highlight of the MX season, Coldenhoff will start in the MXGP, De Wolf in the MX2 and Vlaanderen in the Open class.

Glenn Coldenhoff: "I am very proud to be representing our country in TeamNL for the thirteenth time this year at the Motocross of Nations in America. Every time feels special and the fire and motivation are still just as strong. I'm really looking forward to it!"

Kay de Wolf: "It's great to be part of TeamNL again, this is my fourth year. It's always wonderful to represent the Netherlands. I'm really looking forward to it and together we're going for a great result!"

Calvin Vlaanderen: "I am incredibly happy and proud to have been chosen to represent TeamNL at the Motocross of Nations. In my current form, I am determined to put in a good performance and make our fans proud, together with Glenn and Kay. I can't wait to be there!"

Barry Forschelen (KNMV national coach): “The Netherlands has a lot of talent with several leading professionals at the top of the world rankings; we are a real motocross country. TeamNL reflects that too. The selection is a bit of a puzzle every year, depending on many factors. I am very happy with these riders, who have been performing well in their World Championships all season. We are going for the podium in the US!”

The United States will be well-represented by a trio of world-class motocross racers when it hosts the 2025 Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) Motocross of Nations, which will be held Oct. 3-5 at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Ind.

Three AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross champions will take the reins of the American team in 2025, as two-time 450SX (2020 and 2022) and four-time AMA Pro Motocross (2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022) champion Eli Tomac, 2023 450SX and 2024 AMA Pro Motocross 450 champ Chase Sexton, and reigning 250SX West champion Haiden Deegan — who also claimed the 2024 AMA Pro Motocross 250cc title — will don the Stars and Stripes during this year’s event.

After long-time team manager Roger De Coster — an AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer — announced his retirement in late July, AMA Director of Racing Mike Pelletier will lead the United States’ efforts in the international competition.

“To serve as team manager for the United States Motocross of Nations team is an honor of a lifetime,” Pelletier said. “We have a tremendous team in place this year, with three racers that have already proven their championship-winning pedigrees. We look forward to competing in front of our fans and defending our home turf this year!”  

A previous Motocross of Nations champion, who helped the United States to glory as a member of the 2022 gold medal team, Sexton reclaims his spot on the American team in 2025.

“It’s an honor to represent Team USA at this year’s Motocross of Nations, especially with the event being held at Ironman Raceway alongside Eli Tomac and Haiden Deegan,” Sexton said. “It’s extra special for me with the race taking place so close to where I grew up. I can’t wait to race in front of many hometown fans and represent my country on home soil.”

Another member of that title-winning 2022 team, Tomac returns for his sixth MXON appearance in 2025.

“I’m excited to represent the USA once again this year,” Tomac said. “It’s going to be great to be on home turf and I believe our team will be very fast at Ironman!”

Making his MXON debut as one of the brightest up-and-comers in motocross, Deegan will battle on behalf of his country for the first time at the highest stage of the international motocross competition at Ironman Raceway.  

“I’m stoked to finally be healthy enough to go race for my country and bring that trophy home where it belongs,” Deegan said.

As the premier event in international motocross competition, the FIM Motocross of Nations pits the world’s best riders against one another, while nations compete for global supremacy in the sport.

This decision did not come lightly. After many productive conversations with industry leaders, including fellow team managers, manufacturers, and representatives from the Team Canada MXoN organization, we feel this group of athletes gives us the strongest possible chance at success on the world stage.

With this year’s event being held in the United States, the financial and logistical advantages allow us the unique opportunity to invest in new talent, and we are especially excited to welcome both Tanner Ward and Sebastian Racine to their very first MXoN appearances. This is a huge milestone in both of their careers, and we’re proud to provide them with the opportunity to represent Canada on such an iconic stage.

Jess Pettis returns to lead the charge with a wealth of experience and success under his belt. A multi-time Canadian Champion, Jess is no stranger to the international spotlight, this will mark his 4th appearance at the Motocross of Nations. His speed, determination, and leadership will play a key role in anchoring the team and helping guide our riders through their debut performances.

Sebastian Racine continues to rise as one of Canada’s most exciting young prospects. His progression through the ranks has been impressive, and his MXoN debut comes at the perfect time.

Tanner Ward has shown unwavering consistency and drive throughout the Canadian Series and has earned his spot through hard work and perseverance. His MXoN debut is a long time coming, and we’re excited to see him rise to the occasion.

This team was selected based not only on season-long performance in the Canadian Series, but also with thoughtful consideration of injuries, team dynamics, and overall rider interest and commitment. I stand behind these choices and truly believe this group will proudly and professionally represent Canada on the international stage.

Motorcycling Australia has selected a winning formula for its defence of the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN) in the United States of America from October 3-5, with Jett Lawrence, Hunter Lawrence and Kyle Webster returning for another tilt at the prestigious Chamberlain Trophy.

The trio will again take exceptional form into the massive international event, as Team Australia sets out to be the first country to go back-to-back since France in 2014-2015.

After injury-interrupted American supercross seasons, Queenslanders Jett and Hunter have both returned to racing with blistering form in the American Motocross Championship on their factory Hondas. They are currently running 1-2 in the USA's premier 450cc class with three rounds remaining – the same category where Jett produced a remarkable unbeaten season in 2023.

Meanwhile, Australian champion Webster (Honda) returns to complete the formidable trio representing Motorcycling Australia at the MXoN.

With all three 2025 MXoN riders in sparkling form, Australian team manager Michael Byrne – a former Australian MXoN representative – is exuding an air of cautious optimism, treading the fine line between confidence and realism at the event where boisterous crowds and heaving grandstands are the norm.

“The memories of last year’s victory in England are still so vivid,” said Byrne. “It was a very emotional day, not just for Jett, Hunter and Kyle, but also for former Aussie MXoN heroes who were also at the event. It was a sweet victory for the sacrifices that so many people have made over the last five decades trying to win the Chamberlain Trophy.

“A year on, I’m delighted to welcome Jett, Hunter and Kyle and back into the fold and congratulate them on their individual performances so far in 2025.

“We’re certainly now in uncharted territory as the defending champion, which creates its own set of unique circumstances in such a pressure-cooker event.

“But on the flipside, it’s a litmus test which makes us even more determined, and we won’t be leaving any stone unturned to give ourselves the best chance of going back to back.

“We’ve already proven we can succeed on the big stage, and I’m confident Team Australia has the work rate, temperament and speed to do it all again.

“We can’t wait for October to come around, and we know there is a huge amount of support coming from Australia which is absolutely brilliant.”

Byrne will again be supported at the event by Gary Benn – who was previously a long-time Australian team manager – and Motorcycling Australia motocross commissioner Mark Luksich.
